John Dutton
John was born in Denbighshire, and learnt to play the piano
from the age of seven. He became interested in composing when he was about
sixteen, and wrote light music for piano, including rags and marches. Over thirty-five years later, in 1989,
John decided to teach himself brass band arranging, although he does not play a brass
instrument. He has since written and arranged several pieces, including
marches, hymn tunes, and solos etc.
